Written around the time of the Iraq War in protest to the actions of Bush and Blair, I shelved this song for years thinking it's subject would be quickly dated. After my band and I performed it in NYC on the eve of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and knew it was time to record it. History repeats itself with new and horrific iterations of the desire to control and dominate others.
