The willow is weeping, and the bottle is drunk. My Pillow is sleeping, by a tree trunk. And the River is flowing to water downstream as I wake up to a wide awake dream. My blanket is resting, as clouds fly over the trees. And a Warm, warm wind is talking to the trees. And the River is flowing to water downstream as I wake up to a wide awake dream. The river is flowing to water downstream as I wake up to a wide awake dream, a wide awake dream.

Waiting 03:49
I’m waiting for that phone call, and I’m Waiting for night to fall. I’ll show you my heart, if you show me yours. It Won’t take much at all, ‘cause I’m about to Fall in love with you. And I’m waiting for the lights to change, and I’m praying that we’re Changing lanes. I’ll open my mind, if you’ll open yours. But Let’s just call it off if it’s not enough. Because I don’t think the world will come to a halt my friend, and if We find that we’ve made a mistake in calling it a day, I’ll be the first to say. Let’s just try again. Let’s just try again. I’m losing, the last fight. And I’m blinking in the warning lights. I’ll show my scars if you show me yours. But Let’s just call it off if it’s not enough. Cause I don’t think the world will come to a halt my friend, and I don’t think we have to think it’s our fault if it ends, and if We find that we’ve made a mistake in calling it a day, I’ll be the first to say. Let’s just try again. Let’s just try again. Let’s just try again. Let’s just try again.

Lifeline 04:26
You held a lifeline, to a boat by the sea, Tethered her to dock of mortality. Now that she’s sailing, now she broke free, Curl it up into circles. Leave your lifeline on the dock in peace. You held a lifeline, your boat longed for the waves. You reached your furthest on dark and dismal days. Now that she’s sailing, now she broke free, Curl it up into circles- leave your lifeline on the dock in peace. Grieving for the things that were, You mourn the things that weren’t, Reeling from the lessons learnt. Now, when I look into your eyes, I see her. You kept your promise, to a boat at bay, Weathered through the storms faithfully each day. She’s on the ocean. Her sails so full and free. Curl it up into circles- leave your lifeline on the dock in peace. Leave your lifeline- her lifetime complete.

I looked far away I looked twenty-five years down the line. I looked to the hills for an outline of what could me mine. They say that all things are revealed in the fullness of time, In the fullness of time. You asked for my reasons you asked for my whys, but you Never once listened to my honest replies. You Told me three chords and the truth would be fine, but I Play twenty-one, and tell little white lies. I listened though wind and though rain just to hear my own voice. But the Sea of advice and opinion would drown out the noise. But Answers will float to the surface as you make your choice, as You make your choice. You asked for my reasons, you asked for my rhymes, but you Never confessed to your miniscule crimes. You Told me three chords and the truth would be fine, but I Play twenty-one, and tell little white lies. But I Don’t want to go, no I don’t want to leave you at all. But it’s Hard when you know your back is up against wall. And I Know, yes I know, yes I know that we’ve got to let go, We’ve got to let go. You asked for my reasons you asked for my whys, but you Never once listened to my honest replies. You Told me three chords and the truth would be fine, but I Play twenty-one, and tell little white lies. You asked for my reasons, you asked for my rhymes, but you Never confessed to your miniscule crimes. You Told me three chords and the truth would be fine, but I Play twenty-one, and tell little white lies.

That Man 03:34
I knew that man, I knew him well, Knew all his secrets from heaven and hell. It was the time, and it was the place, To lead that man back to grace. I heard him calling from miles away, but Couldn’t reach him to my dismay. It was the time, and it was the place, To lead that man back to grace. So long in hiding, so long alone, I went to find him to bring him home. It was the time, it was the place, To lead that man back to grace. He changed the lock, to deter me, But just his luck I’d found the key. I heard the fire raged for days and All his secrets it razed. It was the time, and it was the place To lead that man back to grace. It was the time, it was the place To lead that man back to grace.

If 02:50
If I wanted a painting, I’d paint one. If I wanted a song then I’d sing. But All I want honey, is for you to come running, Back into my arms again. If I wanted a cake then I’d bake it. If I wanted a dress then I’d sow. But Darling I miss you, and my only issue, is Lacking the love you once showed. If I wanted a flower I’d pick one. I’d pick all of the flowers in the field. I could Have anything here on land or at sea, but I Can’t have the one thing I need. If I wanted a ride then I’d hitch one. If I wanted to rest, I’d stay home. Where the Only thing missing, is you and me kissing and the Love I can’t make on my own. And the Love I can’t make on my own.

We walked along the Highline, to see the city sky. Amid the grass and railway tracks you saw a butterfly. Now I’ve Known you for a long, long time, but only as a friend. But the Hope that springs eternal is springing up again. And I’m Certain you are someone my heart has always warmed to. Could my certain someone be you? The night after that wedding, we shared a taxicab. Your Head all full of drunken dreams asleep upon my lab. As we Drove across the Brooklyn Bridge, I saw fireworks through rain. And the Hope that springs eternal is springing up again. Cause I’m Certain you are someone my heart has always warmed to. Could my certain someone be you? Are you certain that I’m someone your heart has always warmed to? Could my certain someone be you? ‘Cause I’m Certain you are someone my heart was always drawn to. Could my certain someone be you?

You're In 02:40
I opened my heart so briefly to you, in the Blink of an eye like a bold from the blue, I Opened my heart so briefly to you but you’re In, you are in, yeah you’re in. I opened my heart in the crack of a whip, like a Single-lease reflex, a tear or a rip. I Opened my heart so briefly to you but you’re In, you are in, yeah you’re in. And it will Take some time to stop crying. And it will Take some time to forget. And it will Take some time to get you out of my system, I Hope there’s a system for regret. I opened my heart in the slam of a door, in the Crash of a wave, did I do it at all? I Opened my heart so briefly to you but you’re In, you are in, yeah you’re in. And it will Take some to start laughing again, and it will Take some time to forgive. And it will Take some time to get you out of my system I hope there’s a System called live and let live. Like a thief in the night you slipped under my skin, like a snide sideways glance or that last swig of gin. I’m Immersed I am drunk, you got into my blood but you’re In, you are in, yeah you’re in.

I told you once, I told you twice I don’t want more of your helpful advice. The moment has come, it’s finally here When I’m going to say things you don’t want to hear. Because I don’t think either of us recognize What time takes away. You didn’t need nothing from me anyway. That look in your eyes tells me something’s not clear. Is it pain or regret or distain or your fear? You say that I’m wrong, you think that you’re right. I don’t expect you to change, but just hoped you might because I don’t think either of us recognize What time takes away. You didn’t mean nothing to me, You didn’t mean nothing to me, You didn’t mean me anyway. No one was ever hurt by the truth. In Lies and silence, bitterness takes root. But No one will talk. No one’s left to ask and Don’t leave it to me, I’m not up for the task of Finding out why you needed to hide What time takes away. It might have meant something back then, It might have meant something back then, It might have meant something back then but not today.

Something old, something new, something Borrowed, something blue. These are the things, these are a few. A few of the Things I’d have if I married you. A church so old, a dress so new, a black car Borrowed and a sky of blue. These are the things, these are a few, things that you Promised me if I married you. But I’m not sure, that I care, about that sunny day. So If by chance, you see me there, these are the Words I’d say. I feel old. What’s new? Used and Borrowed, and blue. These are the reasons, these are a few. A few of the reasons I Can’t marry you. Don’t feel bad, cause we’re through. Go on your way and I’ll go too. Let’s tell the whole wide world that That’s what we’ll do.

Daughter 05:36
You raised me from my first gasp of air. Grazed knees and messed up grades were in your care. You bathed and dressed me year on year, But just one thing was never said, It was your deepest fear. I am your daughter, and I will break your heart. Just like all the other daughters from the start of time. Rebellion was not my style. As Teenagers go, I was good for a while. Considerate and obedient, we all forgot that I was not heaven sent. I am your daughter, and I will break your heart. Just like all the other daughters from the start of time, but I’ll make it mine, when wedding bells chime and My heart will cleave to one who won’t leave, me Until the end of time. Comic books and fairytales were fine when I was young. The Magic of the long lost evenings, playing hide and seek in the fading Sun. And thunderstorms that made me Quake with dread and glee. but the Monster under my bed, was me. I am your daughter, and I will break your heart. Just like all the other daughters from the start of time, but I’ll make it mine, when wedding bells chime and My heart will cleave to one who won’t leave, me Until the end of time.

Waiting for you to come home, to See your face at the door. Two gold bands, like magnets draw us Back together once more. The darkness fell hours ago, the Night grows still and forlorn. Two gold bands, like magnets draw us Back together once more. Diamonds make such fickle friends and There’s no wisdom in pearls. Two gold bands, upon our hands, and I’m on top of the world. Waiting for you to come home, to Hear your key unlock the door. Two gold bands, like magnets draw us Back together once more.

I saw wild grasses blowing in breezes serene, Bluebells glowing in forests of darkest green, Beach trees flailing and cedars carve the sky, Willows trailing in rivers deep and wide. ‘Though I wander far, from where I long to be, Forget me not, England, oh please, forget not me. I saw black crows nesting, screeching aloud. I saw the fists of April shake at the clouds. I saw dark skies gather like a rumor soon told, I saw a Rainbow melt in a meadow of gold. ‘Though I wander far, from where I long to be, Forget me not, England, oh please, forget not me. In the stinging nettles, I saw thorns of rose and wire. Pink cherry petals are trodden in mire. I saw Fields frown and furrow the brow of the earth. I saw Wild flowers bowing like they knew their worth. ‘Though I wander far, from where I long to be, Forget me not, England, oh please, forget not me. Forget me not, England, oh please, please, forget not me.
